Rear radar mounts are not exactly the glamorous part of a bike build. They live in that very practical corner of cycling gear. Nobody really wants to talk about them until one starts rattling loose, refuses to fit your saddle rails, or turns the back end of a clean bike into an accessory yard sale. KOM Cycling’s new Saddle Rail Mount looks to tighten up that problem. Offering an under-saddle setup built to work with both Garmin and Wahoo radar units.
What Is It?
The new KOM Cycling Saddle Rail Mount is a lightweight mount that helps secure your radar directly beneath the saddle. KOM says the goal was to create a simple, durable solution that works across different radar systems.
Radar use keeps growing (I’m a huge fan), and so do the other rear accessories (crit cams, saddle bags, and standalone lights). But plenty of rear-mount options still feel like they were built as a workaround rather than an actual part of the bike. Don’t even get me started on the “ease of use” use with the new aero seatposts like the one on the new Cannondale SuperSux EVO. But KOM’s new mount looks like an attempt to make the whole setup cleaner, more secure, and a little less fussy.

Garmin and Wahoo compatibility
The headline feature here is compatibility.
KOM says the mount is designed to work with both Garmin and Wahoo radar units, which make up most of the radar world. Accessory ecosystems still love making small things annoyingly brand-specific, and radar mounts are no exception. If you’ve ever changed devices and suddenly realized half your mounting hardware became useless, you already know why this is a good idea.
Doesn’t Garmin already have one? Yes- Garmin has its own version of this style mount. We’ve used it, and it’s a great update to the previous system (it’s actually the same price, too). But if you find yourself brand walking and want some options, the KOM should be a nice adjacent product. Plus, the shims for carbon rails are a feature not included in the Garmin seatrail mount, so that alone might be worth it to some.

Instead of locking riders into one platform, KOM is building around the reality that people mix gear, switch computers, and want their accessories to keep up without needing a complete reset every time they do.

Built To Fit Real Saddles
KOM also includes integrated rubber shims designed to work with both alloy and carbon saddle rails. Again, not flashy. Very useful and practical. The shims are there to help create a secure, slip-free fit while also protecting the rails from damage.

All New Camera Accessories
KOM is also using the Saddle Rail Mount release to introduce three small accessories that seem likely to appeal to riders who like to fine-tune their setups.
Those include a GoPro Extender Mount, a Wahoo-to-Garmin Quarter Turn Adapter, and a Two-Prong Quarter Turn Adapter. None of them are massive standalone launches, but they are the sort of little problem-solvers that tend to matter altogether.
Price: $49.99
The KOM Cycling Saddle Rail Mount is expected to ship at the end of May.
