Nottingham Forest winger Callum Hudson-Odoi has been ruled out for the remainder of the season after having surgery on a leg injury.
The 25-year-old came off during Forest’s Europa League quarter-final second-leg victory against Porto last Thursday, and missed Sunday’s 4-1 Premier League win against Burnley.
Forest have confirmed the former Chelsea player has had surgery and will not return to full fitness until pre-season.
“Surgery was successful but definitely not the way I wanted to end the season,” wrote Hudson-Odoi on Instagram.
“But with God’s timing and plan hopefully I’ll be back stronger and better than before.”
Vitor Pereira’s Forest are five points clear of the bottom three and face Sunderland, Chelsea, Newcastle, Manchester United and Bournemouth in their final five matches.
They also face Aston Villa in the Europa League semi-finals, with the first leg on 30 April.
