Jannik Sinner and Rafael Jodar will meet on Wednesday afternoon at the Mutua Madrid Open. It will be a clash between the No. 1 player in the PIF ATP Rankings and one of the breakout stars at this year’s edition of the clay ATP Masters 1000 event.

Top seed Sinner is chasing his 21st consecutive tour-level match win, and his 26th victory in a row at Masters 1000 level. Meanwhile Jodar, the 19-year-old hometown favourite competing as a wild card in Madrid, will be eager to test himself against Sinner after storming to his maiden Masters 1000 quarter-final with a run that has included upsets against seeded opponents Alex de Minaur and Joao Fonseca.

When is the Sinner vs. Jodar Madrid quarter-final?

The quarter-final between Sinner and Jodar will begin not before 4 p.m. local time (CEST) / 10 a.m. ET on Wednesday.

It will be the first Lexus ATP Head2Head meeting between the 24-year-old Sinner and 2025 Next Gen ATP Finals competitor Jodar, who only turned pro as recently as December.
