Newcastle Red Bulls have agreed a one-year contract extension with forward Adam Scott.
The 24-year-old, who operates as a second row or back row, has played 17 games for the Red Bulls since his debut two years ago.
The local lad will be part of a new-look squad next season, which will include 21 new players.
“I’m excited to be spending more time here at the club,” he told the Red Bulls’ website, external.
“I’m keen to keep learning from everyone involved, as well as watching the team as a whole developing under our new management.”
Newcastle are bottom of The Prem with four games to go, having lost 13 of 14 matches this season.
