By ATP Staff
Carlos Alcaraz has quickly established himself alongside some of the greats in tennis history, even at the age of just 22.
On Friday afternoon at the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters, Alcaraz eased past Alexander Bublik 6-3, 6-0 to reach the semi-finals at the ATP Masters 1000 event. In doing so, he also notched his 300th tour-level match win.
Having taken just 367 matches to reach the milestone, Alcaraz is tied for third fastest to record 300 singles victories in the Open Era (matches played) according to the Infosys ATP Win/Loss Index. Only Rod Laver (355 matches) and Alcaraz’s fellow ATP No. 1 Club member Jimmy Connors (363 matches) hit that tally more quickly, while Alcaraz has done it in the same number of matches as another former No. 1 in the PIF ATP Rankings, John McEnroe.
