Julian Cash and Lloyd Glasspool made a winning start to their redemption bid at the Miami Open presented by Itau on Monday, when they advanced past Petr Nouza and Patrik Rikl 6-4, 6-3 in 62 minutes.
After ending last season as the first all-British team to secure ATP Year-End Doubles No. 1 presented by PIF honours, the second seeds are now chasing their first title of 2026. Cash and Glasspool fell short in last year’s Miami final to Marcelo Arevalo and Mate Pavic, who also began their campaign with a win on Monday.
The defending champions cruised past Alexander Erler and Robert Galloway 6-1, 6-3, saving the only break point they faced, according to Infosys ATP Stats. With their 2025 victory in Miami, Arevalo and Pavic completed the rare ‘Sunshine Double’, becoming just the sixth team in history to achieve the feat.
