Haas unveil one-off Godzilla-themed livery for the Japanese Grand Prix

TGR Haas F1 Team has unveiled a landmark partnership with TOHO CO., LTD., the legendary Japanese entertainment studio behind the Godzilla franchise, marking the first time in the team’s history that it has collaborated with an entertainment IP.

The announcement introduces the “King of the Monsters” to the world of Formula 1 in what the team describes as a high‑powered fusion of cinematic legacy and cutting‑edge motorsport.

The collaboration will make its global debut at the 2026 Japanese Grand Prix, held from March 27 to 29, with the first major activation — the reveal of a special edition Godzilla‑themed livery — scheduled for March 24 at Tokyo Midtown Hibiya.

This marks the beginning of a season‑long integration that will span branding, digital content, limited‑edition merchandise, and race‑weekend fan experiences designed to unite motorsport enthusiasts and pop‑culture communities around the world.

“This is truly an extraordinary opportunity to showcase our brand to new audiences, and it’s a first for both TGR Haas F1 Team and TOHO,” said Ayao Komatsu, Team Principal of TGR Haas F1 Team.

“It’s an honor to bring a global icon such as Godzilla to this sport and activate across an important year for the franchise. We want our fanbases to combine and celebrate with us, as there will be lots to engage with this season.”

The partnership will extend beyond Japan, taking center stage again at the United States Grand Prix from October 23 to 25. The Austin race coincides with the U.S. release of Godzilla Minus Zero on November 6, creating a natural moment for TOHO and TGR Haas F1 Team to celebrate the franchise’s global reach and cultural impact.
