One of the best tech items I’ve added to my equipment arsenal over the last several years is the Garmin Approach S70 watch. Not only does the watch look great on, it also has a number of helpful functions. It delivers yardage, but also shows me a full-color display of the hole I’m on, thanks to an extensive library of more than 40,000 pre-loaded courses, as well as yardages to any point on the hole, so I can more easily strategize my way around. When I’m playing with others, I can quickly jump in with a carry yardage or any other intermediate distance requested with a quick tap on the watch face.
Another feature I love: The battery is long lasting, and the USB charger even plugs in to my car, so if I forget to charge before a round (which has happened more than once), I can plug it in on the way and get enough charge to get through the round. The watch also doubles as a step and heartbeat tracker, so you can wear it to the gym and keep tabs on your progress.
As a golfer who admittedly never realized the benefit of using a distance-measuring device, the Garmin Approach S70 proved to be a perfect accessory. And now, it’s available at Fairway Jockey, along with seven other Garmin devices. There’s something for everyone!
