Nobody does limited-edition driver collaborations like COBRA.
Nobody.
We’ve said it before and we’re going to keep saying it until cows come home, unpack all their stuff, remodel the kitchen and start a This Old House copycat podcast. You’ve seen what COBRA can do with the collabs it’s already dropped this year for the Arnold Palmer Bay Hill Classic and with the Palm Tree Crew and Realtree.
My only regret is that COBRA didn’t do an Augusta-themed driver. The past few they’ve launched have been nothing short of spectacular.
So, as May approaches, COBRA is launching another edition of its annual driver collaboration with Volition America.
COBRA x Volition America
As with COBRA’s previous limited-edition driver releases, the Volition America collab features COBRA’s current core model driver, the OPTM X. The driver itself doesn’t require much elaboration. Structurally and performance-wise, it’s the same driver, just with customized cosmetics.
This year’s Volition America driver features an army green motif with a military-inspired design. Most importantly, a portion of the proceeds from Volition America driver sales will go to support Folds of Honor. COBRA has partnered with Volition America and Folds of Honor since 2018, raising money to provide educational scholarships to the families of fallen or disabled servicemen and members and first responders.

“We’re honored to stand alongside Volition America and Folds of Honor in supporting our nation’s heroes,” says COBRA-PUMA Golf President Russ Kahn. “This partnership allows us to champion their mission and encourage others to join us in uplifting the families of those who serve.”
Since its inception in 2007, Folds of Honor has awarded nearly 73,000 educational scholarships to military and first responder families. The value of those scholarships is more than $340 million.

Specs, price and availability
As mentioned, this new limited-edition COBRA x Volition America driver is COBRA’s standard OPTM X driver in army fatigues. It’s available in right-handed models only and comes with a Mitsubishi Tensei 1K Black shaft with custom graphics. The driver also comes with a limited-edition Volition America army-themed headcover.

The driver retails for $699 with a portion of the proceeds going to support Folds of Honor.
The COBRA x Volition America OPTM X driver is available starting today.
