Ebikes are great for getting more people on two wheels, but there’s one major flaw – they’re often heavy bikes that make it more difficult to get them on a bike rack. Fortunately, there are new racks like the Saris Cycle-On 2-Bike Hitch Rack, which takes an easy platform-style bicycle carrier and adds telescoping ramps so you can roll those heavy e-bikes right onto it.
It’s rated for up to 70 pounds per bike (140 pounds total), meaning it works with almost anything on the market (looking at you, super-fun fat-tired Aventon Aventure M).

The telescoping ramps click-to-attach to the ends of the trays, connecting to either end so you can roll the bike on from the left or right. The telescoping aspect adjusts the length for different vehicle heights, so you won’t end up with a too-steep angle on taller trucks & SUVs. You will need to stow the ramp in the vehicle when not in use; it doesn’t slide into the rack or anything.

When you’re not transporting bikes, the rack folds flat against the vehicle if you keep it mounted. Or, take it off, fold the trays up, and use the integrated wheels to roll it into your garage. The rack tilts downward, too, easing trunk access without removing bikes or the rack.
A tool-free anti-wobble system uses a hand-tightened knob to secure the rack to the hitch receiver using a locking threaded pin design.

The Cycle-On rack fits bikes with wheels measuring 20 to 32 inches (with fenders) and tire widths up to 4 inches. The rack weighs 53 pounds and has lockable ratchet straps to secure bicycles during transport (and during pit stops).
MSRP is $899.99, and it’s available now in both 1.25″ and 2″ receiver models and is RV-certified for Class A, B, and C motorhomes.
